As the world’s combat again, the COVID-19 outbreak has entered the critical moment, Yili, a leading dairy company in Asia, has stepped up actions to join the global frontline defense to contain the spread of the virus. On April 14th, a donation of 10,000 KN95 medical masks has been delivered to the Veiligheidsregio Utrecht in Netherland through Yili Innovation Center European as part of the relief effort to help local hospitals fight against COVID-19.
"There still is a great shortage on all protective materials. The situation for hospitals is improving, supplies for general doctors still are not sufficient. The mask donated by Yili were much appreciated and will be used soon by general practitioners in the Province of Utrecht", said the procurement manager of the Safety organization of the province of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
"Our hearts go out to all those who are suffering from this pandemic. In a swift response to support the global COVID-19 pandemic containment and recovery, Yili has joint International Humanitarian Fund for COVID-19 established by China Red Cross. To meet the urgent demand for medical supplies, the Company worked with manufacturers to ramp up production capacity while coordinating with embassies and international red cross offices of affected countries, and non-profit organizations to ensure essential supplies can be dispatched to regions quickly. Amid the ongoing outbreak around the world, Yili is procuring and delivering medical supplies to Thailand, Indonesia, Uruguay and Iraq to bolster local relief effort.
